So good evening everybody. Welcome to the city commission meeting here in Fort Lauderdale, September fifteenth, twenty twenty six. Well, thank you all for being here. It's a beautiful day today, so we'll try to get you out early. Um For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome. We appreciate your attendance today. And uh Uh to let you know how we begin our meetings. We start out with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a moment of silence. We have certain announcements. And then we have the opportunity to recognize some organizations or individuals through our presentations.
So tonight there'll be three presentations. The first presentation that's scheduled is going to be uh continued. until next mo next meeting. So If I could ask Uh Olivia Kreudel, uh Genevieve Croidel, Tylan Schuler and Tania Schuler to please join me at the podium who will lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Would you take your right hand and put it over your heart? And you may be yelling.

Thank you. Uh May Mayor, may I uh if if I may. Uh so I I also want to acknowledge um we we lost a good partner for the city, Nick Rojo from affiliated development. We had the funeral for him on Saturday. So I just wanna every ask everybody just keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you. Thank you.
At this time we normally announce uh retirements of individuals who have served the city for twenty years or more and we have one of those people tonight. Uh Mark Rossi, who was a fire captain, has served the city for twenty years, so congratulations and thank you so much for your service to us. So Mr Clerk, please call the role.

so our our Uh our first of three presentations tonight, we ask uh we invite uh Commissioner Herbst to present a proclamation regarding uh uh Chan Moore and Associates here in the city of Port Lauderdale. Now we'd invite uh uh Chen Moore, who's the CEO oh Peter Moore, excuse me, who is the CEO of the organization, and President Jose Acosta, as well as Tim Hogans and Darren Badori, to please join the commission. Commissioner at the podium.
So it's my pleasure to uh read this uh in recognition of the folks from Chenmore and my Friend Peter. So proclamation in recognition of Chenmore and Associates' fortieth anniversary. Whereas since its founding in November nineteen eighty six, Chen Moran Associates, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, has provided engineering, planning, environmental science, landscape architecture, site development, and project delivery services throughout Florida. Demonstrating a commitment to technical excellence, environmental stewardship, and sustainable and resilient communities. And whereas Chenmore has grown to include thirteen offices throughout Florida, as well as offices in Atlanta, Knoxville, and Raleigh. delivering hundreds of projects across the state and serving as an extension of municipal engineering staff for communities including Coral Springs, Lauderdale by the Sea, and Wilton Manors.
