theaters. And I Full 10 toes down, loved Penguin. So Penguin was awesome. Yeah. I feel like I'll appreciate the Batman more. I feel like when it came out, there was it the hype was so real. It reminds me of Force Awakens where every piece of marketing was pitch perfect going into it. Yeah. That just the expectations were through the roof. And I think having the direct comparison to the Nolan trilogy put it in a bad place for a first viewing for me. So I do feel if I watched it. Now, I'd probably enjoy it a lot more than I did then. Not that I didn't like it. I actually really, really liked it. I just didn't love it.
Yeah, and I'm I'm in the exact same place as you are. But yeah, we were talking about Pattinson and then my friend Sarah is like, Oh yeah, the I w I remember watching this movie with Pattinson and Holland and all this stuff. We me and her were having an argument actually. Cause my argument, it was um I think we were talking about Tom Holland versus I wanna say it was Pattinson, and I was like, Oh, Pattinson acts circles around Tom Holland. And Sara was like, I don't know, like she was very much in the in Tom Holland defense mode and I'm like, I like Tom Holland. He's a great Spider Man. I don't know if I'm on the in the train of, oh he's a great actor overall. I he's a great actor. He's not an amazing actor, I guess in my opinion, my personal opinion.
And she was like, you gotta watch this movie. Then we watched it together and we were all like, ah, never mind. We were all like that revived. Yeah, we're like so funny. This movie was so mid. She thought it was way better than it was, but it was still a fun time. I I recommend watching it just for a just for like a different kind of movie.
Was this one of those Russo directed joints where like during the pandemic they just had
Money. We looked up the director and we hadn't heard of any of the director's movies. I I want to say it was a Netflix joint. So I think they were just they were just looking to put something on uh in the catalog that would bring in subscribers, but like it was very clear that you couldn't afford these people for an entire movie because they don't show up until halfway through the movie.
