Raise your hand now. Okay, then we'll move on. We're gonna get to our uh public hearing and I will read about the public hearing to you. I call to order this August first, twenty twenty four public hearing of the Leesburg Planning Commission on TL S V A R twenty twenty three zero zero zero one one oh nine South King Street Variation request. Bill Ackman, Deputy Director, Chief Engineer, Department of Planning and Zoning, will present this. All members of the public are welcome to address the Commission on this application.
Persons wishing to address the Commission should sign up at the podium Once recognized by the chair, individuals should advance to the podium and state his or her name and address. Persons should also indicate whether they are representing anyone other than themselves. After the presentation or comments, please be seated until unless the chair or a member of the commission has questions of the petitioner or speaker. Statements which are demeaning or defamatory to members of the public, staff, or the commission are inappropriate and out of order. In the interest of fairness, we also ask that you observe the three minute time limit. You will hear a bell at the end of three minutes. At that time we would appreciate you summing up and yielding the floor when the bell indicates your time has expired.
This rule applies to all citizens. However, if you're representing a group such as an HOA, please indicate the group you are representing when you sign up and you'll be allowed up to five minutes to speak. The procedure for the public hearing is as follows first staff will present their report. In this case, do we have an applicant? Yes. The applicant will make their presentation. Third, members of the public will have their opportunity to speak. Fourth, the planning commission can ask questions. Fifth, we'll either close a public hearing or leave it open until the next meeting. And then we'll have a planning commission discussion and vote or delay the vote to the next meeting. With that. Thank you, Madam Chair, Members of the Commission. Vice Mayor uh Steinberg. I'm gonna make this brief. I know you have a long evening ahead of you. So as the chair mentioned, this is a subdivision variation request for one hundred nine South King Street, the McClister property. The the name of the title doesn't really represent what we're asking for here because the property also fronts on Royal Street.
