Hello. Hi, my name is Olga Hanava. I live at 18403 Rimrock Circle, Leesburg, Virginia. All right. So good evening, planning commission. First, I would like to disclose that my opinions are my own and I do not represent any organization during this speech or meeting. All right. Also, if you see me leaving half for the meeting, I do have two young daughters waiting for me to put them to bed. So it's not being disrespectful. As a way of background, Loudoun County has approximately 200 data centers, 100 more approved and in progress. The fast growth of data centers in this area is putting a lot of pressure on our power grid. In Ashburn, Dominion's new high-voltage power lines, like those from Golden to Mars and Mars to Aspen substation, are already proposed to cut through neighborhoods and even school properties, disturbing daily life and changing the life of the community.
The argument always comes back to the idea that you can't approve a data center without also approving the infrastructure to support it. So that's why I'm opposing the data center, because it's not the data center itself, but it's the infrastructure that comes that has to support the data center. And the industrial flex buildings have been proposed as well. In fact, Dominion is already planning to rebuild the power line corridor by River Creek Parkway with taller high-voltage towers with the added second circuit. Dominion withdrew their previously approved application by SCC, which already called for tall high-voltage power towers, and now they plan to replace and And build even a bigger project in that area.
So if you can see this from these towers from your house now, you will once Dominion rebuilds the line number 514.
