Phyllis J. Randall 13:55
It's not bad. No, it's not bad. Well, once again, good evening, supervisors, good evening staff, and good evening, Loudoun. We are now going to call the February twelfth, two thousand twenty-five Loudo-Canyon Board Supervisors Public Hearing to order. This room does have a hearing loop. If you need hearing assistance, please put your hearing aid to the telecall mode. If you need a headset, we have those available as well. Please see the clerk to request one. As a reminder to all members of the public addressing the board this evening, you may only sign up to speak on Matters that are um advertised for the public hearing. Due to the broadcast delay, any member of the public who are not in the boardroom wishing to address the board in items one, two, three, four, five, and six, which are on the consolidated agenda, please call the number that is scrolling across the bottom of your screen at this time.
Phyllis J. Randall 14:42
Um if you signed up to speak, you'll be allotted two and a half minutes. If you are in the boardroom, we ask when your name is called, please come to the podium closest to you. Say your name for the record. And if you'd like to say where you're from, you're free to do that as well. The timer in the podium will indicate your remaining time when your time has expired. Please yield the floor to the next speaker. If you're providing your comments via phone, I ask that you you use your own stopwatch because um I don't I never stop people like when they're two minutes out because it messes up your flow. But when you get to two minutes and thirty seconds, then I actually will stop you. So if If you could time yourself, I'd appreciate that.
Phyllis J. Randall 15:17
And when taking public input for items, I will first ask if there's anyone in the boardroom wishing to speak. Then I will go to the moderator on the phone and ask if anyone is on um speakers via online. Please note that there is a slight delay between the broadcast and the boardroom. Before we go to the um to the uh pursuant section by code, I do want to make One um statement. Supervisors, in the memo that I sent, I actually didn't put in that memo that the meetings for for the budget will start at five o'clock. That is not right. The meetings for the budget will start at 5 30. The meetings were pushed back to try to accommodate our colleagues who are working, especially the ones who are working in DC.
Phyllis J. Randall 16:03
So it's a mistake in the memo. but the budget meetings are 5.30 and not 5 o'clock. I don't plan on sending you out a new budget item or new information. I'm telling you right now, so now you got it. Pursuant to Virginia Code Section 2.2-3708-3 in the board's rules of order, Supervisor Brixman requested to participate in this meeting by electronic communication. A physical quorum of the Board of Supervisors is present in the boardroom, and the board has made arrangements for the voice of Supervisor Brixman to be heard by all persons in the boardroom. Supervisor Brixman made this request within the required time frame, and the county attorney determined the request meets the qualification to participate remotely.
Phyllis J. Randall 16:42
The board will record in its minutes that Supervisor Brixman participated remotely from a location in uh Brooklyn, Maine for personal reasons. Supervisor Brixman, can you hear me? I can madam chair, thank you. Wonderful, wonderful. Supervisors, um, please um have your accessories Mr. Saints, please pull out your motion sheet. Um, most of the motions this evening are either countywide motions or motions in the Dallas district, so I'm happy to make those. But if they are not, please have your motion sheets out so you can make motions on the consolidated agenda. Uh the board will hear the following items of the consolidated. hearing as a reminder these items I think those are I think that's Miss Burke's Yeah.
Phyllis J. Randall 17:23
Oh that's yours. Okay. Um these items are being consolidated because there is no outstanding issue. Staff has recommended approval. The applicant has waived their present presentation time and no public speakers are requested in advance to speak to the board.
