Good evening and welcome to the January meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Finance, Government Operations and Economic Development Committee. This room has a hearing loop. If you need hearing assistance, switch your hearing aids to the telecoil mode. If you need a headset, we have those available as well. Please leave the clerk to request one. Uh we have a full agenda this evening, but uh before we begin I'd just like to take a moment to thank Supervisor Umstead for her work chairing this committee over the last two years. Uh coming out of COVID, we certainly had some very full agendas and uh a lot of work was done with the committee. So I appreciate uh all the effort that she put into that. Um I'd like to thank my colleagues for the opportunity to chair finance once again.
Matthew F. Letourneau 7:59
Look forward to working with everybody in this capacity. Uh we have a bit of a skeleton crew tonight. Uh we're down uh Chair Randall, who had a conflict with Northern Virginia Transportation Authority, and then Supervisor Sainz had a conflict with the rescheduled meeting uh uh meeting. meeting date. We did reschedule the meeting so that we could all participate in the uh Dulles Greenway State Corporation Commission hearing at Freedom High School and we had seven out of nine members of the Board of Supervisors present for that. Which I think was a a great showing, uh, from the county. Um and I think the other two were with us in spirit. So uh that was worthwhile but it did present some challenges from a scheduling standpoint for us.
Matthew F. Letourneau 8:39
Uh we will plan on taking a dinner break around seven o'clock. Um just a couple other small housekeep housekeeping things. Uh Supervisor Sains is vice chair of the committee. So in the event that I'm not here he would take over. Um in terms of how we'll run uh motions and timing, we'll have time motions, but we will not have time on questions. Uh would ask everybody just to be reasonable uh on that, especially tonight since we had such a late uh Morning, night, morning, last night. Um But uh generally speaking we'll let folks uh ask the questions that they need since we are in committee. Okay, we have uh I'm actually gonna propose eleven items for consent and they are as follows item two, quarterly report, upcoming contracts, third quarter, FY twenty four.
Matthew F. Letourneau 9:25
Item four, contract renewal, roadway and transportation design services. Item number five, FTE authority for the Department of Building and Development. Item number six, uh calendar year twenty twenty-four payment standards and utility allowance uh allowances for the housing choice voucher program. Item number seven, affirmation of personal property tax rates for tax year twenty twenty-four. Item eight, mid-year twenty twenty-four, child protective services, family services specialist budget allocations. Item number nine, twenty twenty-three, family services advisory board annual report. Item number ten, Fiscal Impact Committee twenty twenty three annual report. Item number thirteen, American Rescue Plan, ARPRA Tourism Grant Recommendations.
Matthew F. Letourneau 10:10
Item number fourteen, American Rescue Plan Acts uh update recommendation for ARPRA Community Services Grant Program. And item seventeen, second substantial amendment to the five year uh twenty one to twenty five consolidated plan and the FY twenty four annual action plan. I'll move approval of the consent agenda. Is there a second? Seconded by both my colleagues. Uh we'll say Supervisor Rubstead. Uh any discussion on the consent agenda. Seeing none. Uh all in favor say aye. Aye. Anyone opposed? Motion carries. Three zero two. Okay, we'll move on to our information items. Uh the first of which is our monthly Department of Economic Development reports. We have Colleen with us from uh Economic Developments. Good evening.
Unknown 11:00
