The committee will record that Supervisor Letourneau participated remotely from his home in Loudoun County, Virginia due to a medical condition. Welcome, everybody. As you may know, we have some other guests with us this evening, Supervisor Tacroni and Supervisor Kirshner. The goal of tonight's work session is to end with motions on scenarios to be included in the March 5th FGOEDC CIP work session packet. Staff will also incorporate responses to any project update questions requested by supervisors in the packet for the March 5th CIP work sessions.

So what that means is that oftentimes staff is asked for updates on certain projects and they don't always have that information right at their fingertips. So you may have to get that answer in the March 5th. meeting along with the scenarios supervisors will have three minutes for questions each each round we have questions with as many rounds as needed I will go to committee members first for questions and then move on to non-committee members should they have questions we also have Kevin Lewis here from LCPS who will be coming to the table for questions first. I just wanna make a note of that for my colleagues. If you have questions for LCPS, make sure you have them at the ready. And with that, I think we have a presentation.

Spate. Good evening, Madam Chair and members of the committee. Friday evening, you received a CIP work session item, which gives an overview of the proposed CIP and one funding scenario that was received. We do have a very brief presentation, which we'll go through to orient everyone for the discussion tonight. And as was mentioned by Chair Briskman, the goal of tonight would be to get any direction from the committee on funding scenarios that you would like staff to return to the March 5th work session with. Next slide.

All right, the six-year period totals approximately $3.8 billion. County projects total $1.3 billion, about 33%. Transportation projects at $1.5 billion, which is about 40%. And school projects at $1 billion, at 27% of the total CIP. This is an amendment year for the CIP. Cost and schedule changes for existing projects are fully accommodated. There are limited new projects added to the CIP to address stated board priorities and other needs. And as mentioned, an anticipated annual debt issuance guideline increase. The goal of the CIP was to lay the groundwork for the FY27 budget process, which would introduce two new years to your CIP and to make further progress on the board's stated priorities. Staff did meet with board members last summer to understand what your CIP priorities are.

While this CIP does address most of those priorities. There is additional work to be done to address sidewalk and trails, intersection improvements, bus stops and bus shelters programs as was discussed with you at your December Finance Committee meeting.
