Today we have no advanced signup speakers for a public input portion of the meeting. If there's anyone in the room that would like to address the committee and has not already signed up to speak, please see the clerk. Also, Vice Chair Brisman is running late. She told me she will be here in about 15 to 20 minutes. I also want to recognize uh school board member Linda Dean. for the Broadrun District. She's here um this this afternoon and we appreciate you coming and um being a part of our meeting. And you are welcome to come up here if you would like to. Okay, so we don't have any speakers. Uh I will um go ahead and Um ask uh coach here Mansfield if uh she has a report.

I don't think I have much to report except that we're going we're having a school board retreat tomorrow in our big uh school board meeting. Um it's gonna be a long, I think probably fifteen hour day. And we are going to um I think the most exciting news is that we have our post entry plan that um Superintendent Spence is going to pee reporting on and I think that will really help us move forward in our goals. So I think that's I think that's the b biggest thing that we're really excited to listen to.

Thank you. Um so uh I would just like to report a couple of things. Since the joint committee last met in April, the Board of Supervisors approved the commission permit to construct the Dulles North High School HS fourteen. and elementary school on land near Watson Mountain Middle School along with um Along with the associated five thousand seat stadion. The Board of Supervisors also voted to make all local buses in Loudoun County fare free beginning on january first, twenty twenty five. The initiative to have fair fee buses began in the joint committee with Supervisor Briskman bringing forth, I'm sorry, Vice Chair Brisman bringing forth an item to allow all LCPS students to use their IDs to ride the buses for free.

Now through that work, all local bus users in Loudoun will be able to ride for free. I also want to quickly mention that the Board of Supervisors continue to see and approve residential rezoning requests throughout the county. I encourage both supervisors and school board members to make sure you're communicating with each other regarding student generation, capacity, and attendance zones in your respective districts. Finally, I want to thank the school board and superintendent for continuing to invite supervisors. advisors to attend graduation for L C P S high schools. I had the pleasure of attending the graduation uh ceremony for the academies of Louden. Two weeks ago and will be at Riverside High School tonight.

On behalf of the Board of Supervisors, I want to applaud all LCPS graduates for your dedication and hard work. I'm continually impressed by all the young and bright minds, and have no doubt that the class of 2024 will can will lead us to a successful future. Congratulations, Loudoun is proud of you. And thank you, that is my report. Um so we will go ahead on to the information item. Um the first one is the school attendance zone boundary review process.
