Yes, Madam Co-Chair, thank you so much. Good evening, joint committee members, and to our families and community watching at home. It has been another inspiring couple of months across Loudoun County Public Schools, with students, staff, and community partners continuing to demonstrate innovation, leadership, and a commitment to belonging and opportunity for all. I'd like to begin by recognizing several outstanding student accomplishments and experiences from across the division. Nearly 500 students from 15 schools recently came together at the Academies of Loudoun for Innovation Day, where they showcased creativity, collaboration, and STEM skills through robotics competitions and engineering challenges focused on environmental sustainability.

We also celebrate Broad Run High School senior, Sonia Yaman, who was recognized by Delegate David Reed for helping advance House Bill 410, legislation that expands access to SAT school day opportunities for Virginia students. Her advocacy reflects the powerful impact student voice can have in shaping equitable opportunities for others. And at this year's Environmental Action Showcase, more than 140 students presented innovative solutions to real-world environmental challenges, demonstrating thoughtful leadership and a commitment to building a healthier future for our community. LCPS also recently recognized 21 outstanding employees of the year, selected from more than 700 nominations submitted by students, families, staff, and community members.

These individuals represent the dedication and care that define our schools every day. We are also very proud to congratulate three LCPS principals, Katie Johnson of Belmont Ridge Middle School, Dr. Michelle Luttrell of Loudoun County High School, and Paul Thiessen of Pinebrook Elementary School, who were selected as members of Virginia's inaugural Principal of Distinction program for their exceptional leadership and commitment to positive school culture. In addition, we recently celebrated 362 students completing the Teacher Cadet Program, soon to be known as Teachers for Tomorrow. These students signed letters of intent expressing their plans to return to LCPS as future educators, helping strengthen the next generation of teachers in our school.

LCPS also celebrated the opening of the Welcome Center East in Sterling, marking 10 years of the Welcome Center program and expanding support for families navigating enrollment, academics, and community resources. This work reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring every student and family feels welcome, supported, and connected. And through the events like the peer conference and the annual equity celebration, students across LCPS continue helping build school communities grounded in empathy, inclusion, and belonging. In every classroom, competition, performance, and partnership, we continue to see the extraordinary talent, compassion, and promise of our students and staff. Thank you, that concludes my report.
