This is the Prince William Public Library's Library Advisory Board meeting for July 23rd through 26th, and we are at the lovely Montclair Library looking out windows at beautiful trees, and so forth. We thank them for their hospitality. We'll start tonight's meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. If you please stand. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. Thank you. Let the record show that we were expecting Member Williamson and Member Baker, but they have not come in as of now, and we'll let you know if they can survive during the meeting.

We have minutes Karen provided, and they really are just exactly what we did the last meeting, but if you have an opportunity to review them and you have any changes or additions, please state them now. I don't know if I was fine. I'll entertain a motion to approve the minutes. We have a motion to approve the minutes. Are you a second? And we'll move on now to approval of the agenda, which we all have in front of us. And we have several things to cover tonight, so we'll try to be prompt and so forth. We don't have any citizens, I should mention. They are obviously able to come to meetings if they ask and request the time. So, yes, we're moving on tonight. And my My pleasure tonight is to introduce Teresa Sulik, branch manager of the Bull Run Library.

Would you give us a little bit about you? So I have now been at Bull Run for a month and a half, I believe. I came from Nobisville Library, and previous to that, I worked for Fairfax County Public Libraries for a number of years, and prior to that, I worked for Prince William Public Libraries in Nobisville when I was in library school. So I've worked in a lot of larger branches when I was in Fairfax, and I loved Nobisville. It was really great. It was great to be so connected with the community there, It was great to have the chance to oversee the little mini renovation that we did, but it's been really exciting to be back at a larger branch at Bull Run Library. I really enjoyed getting to see all the different services and just a broader range of what the library provides, so the makerspace and

Having meeting rooms for our programs again and being able to have larger programs. I think that's something that's really fun is with a big staff and a big team, you can really divide things up. And so we've had a couple of large programs since I've gotten there. We had our summer kickoff event. And we had Rebecca Lowe doing face painting and Stephanie working on the desk. And we had CERT staff helping hand out tickets for the programs. Everyone was pitching in to help. So that's been really cool. And then we also had FanFest this last weekend, which is kind of like the library's version of Comic-Con. And Jennifer was there to help with that. So I think that's what I've enjoyed most about being at the talk.

What was the best thing about your world and the best thing about the new world? You could have said it, but I wanna hear. Yeah, so I was talking to a friend a couple of days ago and trying to explain that where I felt like I got to know everybody in the community, which was a really cool experience. to just know our customers and see them when I was out. And we still get to know our customers at Bull Run. There are so many more that we can't get to know everyone the same way. At Bull Run, it also feels like the staff puts its own community. And so that's been really cool to see and just to get to know everyone on staff and to be able to collaborate and share ideas.
