Thank you, Commissioner Carroll. Uh c Mr. McGedigan, I'm back to you on item eight on our agenda, which is a request for ref deferrals or continuations. Do we have any requests?

Thank you, sir. Now let's move to item nine. uh planning director's time. Director Washington, the floor is yours, ma'am.
Good evening, uh Commissioners Tanya Washington, Planning Director. You can go to the next slide. So just have a few items um to share today. This is a reminder that with the start of FY twenty six uh yesterday, July first. The planning office has rebranded our three core uh divisions uh to facilitate uh community understanding of the different functions and services that we provide, um, as well as to help to uh facilitate. um further participation in planning uh planning services and uh just to do some modernization of our division names. So uh briefly, the community development division uh is now called Community Planning and Revitalization. That is a division that is responsible for creating uh for leading and creation of new small area plans as well as supporting implementation of adopted small area plans.
Current planning is now called land use review. Uh that is a division, as you all know, who uh bring forth uh many of the items for the planning commission's consideration, rezoning special use permits, proffer amendments, so leading and counties review of those services. And then long range planning is now called county wide planning. And we chose that name because of various Uh Responsibilities under that division, um the comprehensive plan, the zoning ordinance, cultural resources, as well as our GIS services all have uh countywide applicability and impact.
How is the consent agenda approved and what motions are passed for the June 11 briefs and resolutions?
Um, and so that is the new name for that division. Next slide. Wanted to also share some recent planning um office activities since my last presentation last month. On June nineteenth, the planning office uh participated in the county's Juneteenth and Me festival. Uh, particularly our cultural resources team, uh, who are part of our county wide planning division. Um had a table there to talk with community members who attended the festival about The Thoroughfare community, that is a historically African American community where the county has already done um a lot of research on the history of that community. And we are now leading an effort to develop or to create a historic overlay district.
