Um in addition to what I said earlier, we must understand that people experience are impacted by And are affected by history very differently based on where they are from. what they've experienced in life. And how that history may have affected and impacted them. So be understanding, lending a little grace, and understand not everyone. Embraces history in the same manner. I'm Carl Gretten of the Gainesville District and we are against the digital gateway and its associated rezoning. Commissioner Fontanella, you mentioned that there will be a lot of work needed in the upcoming weeks. We wonder what you mean by this because your commissioners have voted no and there is no digital gateway deadline. If there are changes to the application, there will need to be further citizen awareness meetings, and there is nothing on the schedule. It will take time to evaluate the new application, which could be thousands of pages.
If you think that there is a twelve december twenty three deadline, you are not correct. We know the board will not listen to the planning commissioners anyway. The board has not listened to the historical commission or the sustainability commissions, so why would they listen to the planning commission? This is just further proof that there are too many employees on a Prince William County staff and that many can be eliminated. Have you performed a top down appraisal of how many commissions and agencies that are available and would recommend reducing as a recommendation from the planning staff? It is unfortunate that the board does not listen. Lack of open space has been an issue that has been requested that the digital gateway applicants have not fully provided, or the applicant has provided a bait and switch.
