Thank you, Mr. Chair, members of the commission. My name's David McGedigan from the Planning Office. Uh I just have a few um uh announcements um Uh one is uh we have a new deputy planning director for the planning office. Yeah. And um next is Who
would that be?

Uh we had uh three affordable dwelling unit ordinance uh meetings uh last week. Um the um uh we had about uh twenty five at the in person meeting and over thirty at the virtual meeting last week plus about ten at the our first meeting. So um we uh completed those. We're gonna do a deep dive uh with the planning commission on April seventeenth where we have a work session only night. uh from six to eight to just talk about the affordable dwelling unit ordinance. Uh so uh hopefully you all can uh attend that on April seventeenth. Right here in the board chambers, yes. Um the other uh thing that's happening this week is we have two forums on the Indoor Sports and Event Center. Only recall that that was mentioned at the work session for the CIP.
Uh there's um Uh gonna be one. on uh Wednesday, this Wednesday while you all are in session, so uh you can't make that one. But on Thursday there's uh another one. Uh and so that is uh I think it's six thirty. Um the first one, uh is as also at six thirty on Wednesday at the Pat White uh community center which is out at Ben Lohman. Um on Sudley Manor Drive and the the Thursday one is at uh Freedom High School in in Woodbridge. So those those two uh forums are are coming up. Um And that's all that I had uh to announce for planning director's time.

Just one quick question. Will uh the planning commission be expected to participate along with the public at one at the one at Freedom or uh the one Uh at six thirty on Wednesday, or will there be a discussion here?
Um Well they will be uh for the planning commission, they will have to do a uh public facility review. So we plan to do to bring it back to you all for public facility review. So this is just uh preliminary information session. Um we will be going to the board on uh May fourteenth to see if they want to move forward with the with the project.
What announcements did the Planning Director make about staffing and upcoming events?
So um it it may or may not uh come to fruition. We'll have to wait and see what the board does on May fourteenth. Uh and once they give us the go ahead on the project then we would bring it forward for public facility review before the planning commission.

Yes, we have um uh quite a bit of uh s support, um and there was a lot of support when the board uh initiated back this back in twenty eighteen for Um a proposal for a uh indoor uh track and field facility. Um Ти а th they've been working uh for about six years on on on doing that. We got a proposal for private
