You know, sometimes, you know, you're not as motivated to go out and make those deals that get you over the top.

We've also been about winning a World Series.

We were in that rebuilding phase for a period of time, so when we got to 2020, every year we had a chance to play postseason games and be competitive.

That's just been the way we've gone about it.

It's not just kind of hope you get in every couple of years or kind of sneak your way in.

You're playing in the NL West.

You're playing with some heavyweight teams.

We're trying to build a team that can win the championship, and that's kind of the way we've acted.

Yeah, I mean, that's what this week's for for us.

We haven't had a ton of conversation yet, so try to hit all 30 teams by the end of this week, and I'll get a better sense of that more by the end of this week.

At the same time, talking to agents and kind of comparing where that's at.

So that's a big part of our goal for this week is kind of know what the marketplace looks like by Thursday, Friday.

I mean, for us, like, again, we'll keep having, you know, have a sense from ownership, but keep having the conversation about where our payroll is going to be at.

I think, you know, we use these means a lot of times, gather information, come back, sit down with John, myself, Eric.

We'll then at that point in time put some strategy together and put some dollar figures together towards it.

and get a sense from there.

So it's just a lot of kind of information gathering here this week.

I mean, again, I think the part where it's just exciting, like the fact that we were able to make deals and you look up and you see in the fall league, for example, and we're not saying that Tucker Musgrove is going to be a big leaguer necessarily this year, but we're also not putting a ceiling on anything.
