So Donald Trump and J.D.

Vance were also at the Republican National Convention every single night, but they were not speaking.

They did not come out and address the audience there.

They sat in the box and kind of presided over everything that was happening each night.

So they were not engaging with that audience and with the American people when they were there.

They were just kind of watching the show.

And it felt like they were just kind of there to watch this convention that was more about them than it was about the voters.

and about the choice that they have to make in 77 days.

So I just also thought that was pretty stark that she has come out, she has spoken directly to the American people for two nights in a row now, and she hasn't even officially accepted this party's nomination.

Sure.

But she's been doing that, Michael.

She's been doing that on abortion.

She was doing it.

She was doing it, taking the case, laying out the case against Trump as vice president, as a surrogate, when President Biden was still on the ticket.

She has been doing that.

She has been getting stronger as a candidate.

And also, she's been the understudy to President Biden for the past three and a half years.

So this is somebody who has had time

to prepare for this moment and this role and who knew going into this election that it was going to be hard and that she was going to have to put this election on her back as well as President Biden.

So, I mean, by the time we get to July 21st and President Biden steps aside and endorses her, she, you know, was ready to meet this moment.
