Um, you know, have a conversation with you and say, Look, here's what we see.
Tell me what you see.
And let's um and let's talk about whether you can hear why your community is raising this with you.
I mean, he acts like the NABJ is the only place that this concern is coming from.
It's absolutely not.
Yeah, no, absolutely.
And I mean it uh yes, I mean this
can be again an opportunity because because you know he asked on the show you know what does this have to do with journalism what this has to do with journalism is because this is about what we normalize so when you have commentary that is repeatedly framing black women as unqualified or undeserving of authority like it doesn't just affect the person that we're talking about it helps to normalize
a way of seeing black women for audiences, for newsrooms, for the next generation of these young journalists that are watching platforms like his and learning what journalism and commentary are supposed to look like.
So um, you know, help us be part of the solution.
Help us to use your platform as part of how we do this differently, uh, instead of being part of a pattern uh that is harmful.
I'm home.
We've been at this for a minute and I appreciate you for still being on the front lines for these folks that need you to tell the truth.
So thank you for what you are doing.
Keep fighting, keep speaking out for press freedom.
We say I'm gonna get you a mug down, one of our new mugs that says the first amendment is not optional because I know you know that we're not doing it.
Because
You are current.
you.
Don, that's absolutely right.
