And it was like, you know, Digital Equipment Corporation will be the largest company on the planet based on, you know, and it's like it died two years later.
I'm glad you asked because it does – I should, based on my confidence on the power of those six books, I should be able to tell you the answer.

no idea on all these things um more what these books are good at is like it will it'll be if you're an entrepreneur it'll tell you if your idea is gonna be remotely you know gonna work or not um and so it it works better in kind of like early stage like like will this company find a category that it can like wedge into or will the incumbent more likely take the category like so i use

The key is what Innovator's Dilemma tells you is if the business model is not something that the incumbent wants to pursue, because the business model is unattractive to the incumbent.
So if you look at it through that lens, it will very quickly tell you, like, if you have a new startup, like, does the incumbent...
Is the incumbent going to find that business model unattractive or not?
And if it's unattractive, they won't pursue it.
And if it is, then you very much need to assume that that incumbent is going to try and compete with you.
