And then that sort of parlayed into an investment.
So we ended up raising a few hundred thousand dollars um in um uh in the f early fall of 2005.
And this was when we were back at college.
Yeah, so uh Mark's prolific at this.
Uh everybody there could be like a I don't know why we don't have like a Discord at this point, but like there's probably 2,000 of us or 5,000 or 10,000 people that have this exact story.
And we're like, you know, we're all the people that like Mark, you know, saw in us and uh and and you know responded to some email.
Uh funny enough, actually, then a part of the story, uh this I don't think this has ever been in uh the version of it.
So maybe you're right that like you have to kind of
Update the the founding story every every now and then.
Um so as a part of the due diligence um uh for uh for the company, uh he had us meet uh Travis uh Kalnik.
Um uh so he invested in Travis at this company called Red Swoosh.
And um and so uh so I I'd met um uh uh Travis in LA and and Travis was was basically
like like Mark asked me to meet you, you know, see if everything's above board.
So meet Travis and and uh and I guess I got the thumbs up.
And then actually Travis um uh ultimately was an inspiration for dropping out of college later.
Um uh so later, you know, uh the four four months later, as growth was kind of picking up, uh, we started getting more and more users and um and we decided that we had to kind of focus on the the company full time.
And um uh
And so we decided to to drop out of college, uh, move to the Bay Area and and Travis was a a a a major factor in that.
well, so we were the we we we started because of the cloud transformation.
So it was a little bit more.
