I I think it'll it'll follow probably the same curve that like REST APIs did um twenty twenty five years ago, twenty three years ago or whatever.
Like we all we all started building apps that that you know we were like, Oh, we need to plug into the the Flickr API and like and then that started to grow and they were like, Well, then I should have an API.
And then we had like uh you know, all these things.
So I think it it it it looks like it's following that kind of pattern.
You know, God bless Enthropic for coming out with MCP early in
this to kind of say, you know, somebody needs a flag on the ground to to kind of like get everybody to focus the the attention in something.
Um uh you know there's there's emerging concepts of kind of agent uh sorry agent to agent frameworks of
Of like, well, uh, you know, how do we how do we have kind of handoffs where where I understand what your agent is good at, you understand what my agent's good at, I know how to, you know, you know, authenti and and do all that.
I think MCB could probably consolidate a lot of that energy potentially, but but there are other, you know, kind of competing or at least complementary frameworks emerging.
But uh no matter what, because of how many, you know, smart people are attacking this problem.
I think we could easily be two years from now where you just feel totally comfortable that like all the software you use can talk to all the other software in an agentic way.
And and then then I think the more gnarly part is when developers have to start to decide: okay, am I going to use the API directly for this or am I going to hand it off to agents?
And um that that that's the only thing I'm a little bit nervous about because like Claire.
of like of like integration patterns can be so so helpful for velocity.
And and like you might have like what will you do when you have a new generation of kind of like vibe coder developers that like think the world is just M MCPs all talking to each other.
And then they're like, okay, what we want to do is we need to move data from, you know, the segment API to the Salesforce thing to that thing.
And they're like, great, we'll just set, you know, MCP, all this stuff.
And then it's just like, you know, everything's just like
2% lossy in that in that transmission or or like 20% more expensive than it needs to be because you're like, why are we running this through GPU when you know A the APIs would have just been fine.
So, so I do think that we're in for you know a little bit of needing to be like, okay, like like, you know, MCP and AI is like, is like when people were talking to each other and like when the computers just need
