And so I try and void, avoid, I said void earlier, now I'm saying I try to avoid silence at all costs.

filling kind of every natural gap or pause with some leap, misdirection, joke, some random thing, whatever, just to avoid that uncomfortableness of the silence.

But as you get older and you go through more challenging events and you speak to more people and you do over almost 600 episodes of a podcast, the more you realize that the pause is often where the real depth starts to form, where the real connection starts to form.
