In fact, Derrick Anderson is engaged, but he lives alone with his dog.
He doesn't have any kids.
He doesn't have a wife.
So what did Derrick do?
He borrowed a wife and kids from his close friend and put them in a TV ad shoot and tried to let voters know that he was happily married with kids.

This is one of the craziest stories of the election cycle, and it's even crazier because Derrick Anderson is actually running in one of the closest congressional districts, Virginia 7th.
His Democratic opponent, Eugene Vindman, is Alex Vindman's brother, and if you recall the last name Vindman, it's because they were fired for going against Donald Trump in Donald Trump's White House, and then Alex Vindman was a key impeachment witness the first time around.
