Happy days. Do you know what? I think I was at Newcastle. I think you were. That's exactly right. I remember that. I think I drank some time. Yeah. Killed me. The news has come out today that the PFA has started legal proceedings against the EFL over changes to salary caps. How has it affected your planning, doing things at Bromley? What have they told you? What's your understanding of everything? Well, my understanding is really what my chairman tells me, that we've got a budget and we can't go a penny over it. And even last week, we were doing signings and we have to get them cleared by the EFL.
Let's talk Leicester City very quickly. Russell Martin in through the door. I don't know who wants to bite on this, but how big a job is it for him as well, considering the Rangers fallout and even Southampton to an extent, the end of the Southampton time for him, as well as it is for Leicester City in a football sense?
So, yeah, tough. That's going to be a tough gig for Aaron. I do feel for him on that one. And it's going to be a tough season in many ways for the Oxford United fan base and the football club in general. Let's talk League Two. According to the bookies, the title favourites this season are Salford City. We are hoping to get Peter Klimowski, the Salford boss, with us. And I think he joins us now. Man, wow. Amazing season at the end of the National League season. But since then, York of SAC manager Stuart Maynard, who led them to the title with 108 points. The owners have come out and said they've got a difference in direction and vision for the football club. Scott Lindsay has come in, a man with a mixed record in the EFL. Started with a 2-0 defeat to his old side Crawley. Fans booing, chatting.
saying we want Maynard back. I mean, I thought Ian Holloway's comments post the friendly against Bristol City were about where he calls his team's absolute garbage. Scott Lindsay just turned around and looked at him and goes, I actually don't care. Which is not the best place you want to be at the start of a season, Luke Chambers.
