I think there's a really good chance we could be a three party state after the election.
Um, and that's why I'm so hesitant to project things.
I think Texas is and
I would break it, and this is maybe not helpful to a national audience.
I would break it down with the Paxton impeachment.
Who voted for Paxton to be thrown out of office and who didn't?
And that is, and that's very state legislative centric, but um
You know
rural versus um
City college educated.
And um, so John Cornyn is obviously the representative of the the more centrist Republican Party, even though I don't think most folks would say it's that centrist.
But um these these are fo okay, here's how I would say: I think there's a generation of consultants, operatives, politicians who grew up as Bush was on the ascent, and these are folks who
Got great joy in their life defeating Democrats and they know how to run general elections with brutal efficiency.
And then you have this new generation coming up, which take general elections for granted.
And so all that matters is the primary, and that is their muscle memory.
And so what I am curious over the next few weeks is can Paxton and these other folks run a general election campaign with that kind of um
Efficacy.
And, you know, when you see Carl Rove say he's going to vote for Tal Rico, that's a stunner.
But that is literally all of his disciples.
