But protein actually contains an amino acid called tryptophan, which actually helps us to induce sleep.
And it's found in tuna, it's found in dairy, it's found in oats.
So, yeah.
So maybe that's perhaps where the myth came from.
But there is a little bit of truth to that in terms of the protein, for example.

What is the biggest piece of misinformation or the biggest myth around baby studying solids that you've heard?
Oh, that's a good question.
That's a very good question.
Oh gosh.
It's honestly, there's so many.
Offering rice cereal.
So in terms of offering rice cereal, it's still an iron rich product, but it doesn't have loads of iron in there.
And in terms of it being a food, it's very bland.
There's so many other more beautiful natural sources, whole foods, for example, that we should be starting our babies on.
Oh, a single food offering one food at a time or the same food for three days in a row.
Utter myth, because if you were to do that, there's such a small window of introducing new foods and the six to 12 month window is so, so potent and such an incredible life.
Like it sets the tone, getting the nutrition right for your baby in this six to 12 month window sets the tone for a lot of their health for the rest of their life.
That's why iron really needs to be the focus of every single meal.
You start with that and you build out from that.
