So, Pete Steele, the PayPal guy, acquired 477 acres, New Zealand, South Island, and was basically granted citizenship despite never having actually lived there, which I think is wild, but...

You know, it's really like, I think it's lovely.

I think a lot of people for a long time have been like, you know, the US is the place to set up and you have to be here and there's nowhere else you can go.

And actually, we're just learning that that isn't the case.

The only problem with this, though, is like the wealth inequality gap gets quite skewed when million and billionaires do this sort of thing.

And I'd hate to see that happen to New Zealand.

Can you explain that?

So what happens when you have like millionaires and billionaires coming in and like buying up property and land is effectively that the money to them is like nothing.

So they can buy like four or five houses, but actually it starts to then shift the house price up.

and makes for the everyday person trying to buy a flat or a house in that same area really difficult.

And even though they're not living there, we have this problem in London.

You have entire streets in central London that have no one living in them, but the house prices are like skyrocketed because basically foreign investors buy them as investment and they just sit completely unused.
