Brown and Raymond and all these guys they had, like that's a really lofty goal.
It's a little easier to do with the new touchback rules and all that.
Points are going up, offense is up across the board.
And will continue to go up, but that's a lofty goal to try to hit.
And if you do have a certain expectation of the 12 possessions, 10 to 12 possessions a game that you're going to get, that you're going to be able to score on at least five of them, if not, you know, five touchdowns a game, if that's what you're gunning for, that that's a really lofty goal, and you're not going to have the level of protection based off of what we've seen in the preseason so far.
That's not the level of protection you need.
I still think Caleb is being rushed to.
a little bit more than he wants to be.
He's had to move a little bit more earlier than he wants to.
The stuff that I think Ben wants to see in year two, what Press Taylor wants to see, and the mechanical stuff that JT Barrett wants to see within the confines of the offense and how you take your steps up into the pocket, how you scan through the progressions, I I still think there's a lot of work to do.
I don't think I'm telling any, you know, new stuff here, but I think those are the couple of things that they really need to clean up before we get to
uh Carolina, which is not a great defense.
It's a banged up defense, and it's not the hardest test on a tough schedule, but I don't think it's, you know, I don't think you can overlook any game in this season when the division is going to be as competitive as I think it's going to be.
It's always a nice surprise, uh to at least be able to discuss it.
It's an easier l launch point to be able to talk about Caleb because that's obviously a big draw uh for a lot of people who are excited about what the Bears might do this year.
Uh I still feel like it's I don't know what the next couple of years are gonna look like preseason game wise, like what reps are gonna look like.
I I know the goal seemingly is to eventually cut down a two
preseason games and go to eighteen regular season games.
I I'm always wary of that.
Like I I get the joint practices are probably better reps, which is fine as long as you're getting the reps.
