Real legislation was getting done.
So I think when you look back on when the system worked, it was working in the nineties.
We had surpluses.
We had people that were fighting, but they were doing it in a way they got stuff done.
And I and so yeah, I think I look back at the nineteen nineties as an era we can learn from as a society.

Look, I grew up, I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and the area that I grew up in was very on social issues, was pretty tolerant, was pretty, you know, we would gay marriage and abortion were not the big issues when I was growing up in my area.
But the fiscal issues definitely were something that appealed to me.
And so when I started working in Washington professionally, I took those values into what I was doing.
I've always been known as pretty hardcore on a lot of economic issues.
And but I'm pretty live and let live when it comes to all the other stuff.
That I used to have a home within the team red within the GOP.
But I at the end I didn't.
And it it was interesting being a professional, being someone who worked in the industry.
When you look at things like the grassroots activism, you look at the fundraising.
There was no room for my for my positions anymore.
You either were all in on Team Red, and Team Red was by then Ball Maga, or you're out.
One of the two.
I couldn't believe I watched it happen.
