And that's the great thing about what I think Infrastructure Australia can offer is to try and connect the dots cross borders.
We don't really look at it in terms of borders.
We just look at what is the most efficient way to make these movements.
And then we can use that analysis to then work more effectively with governments about how do we make this happen?
Where do the investments need to be?
What are the regulatory frameworks that need to change in order to move something of this scale in terms of size, but also in terms of quantity coming through the network as well?
So it'll be an enormous task, but we think the country's up for it.
And we've seen some good focus since the release of the list on how to make it happen.
So we do cover data centers and investment in technology in the priority list a little bit.
So I'd say the way in which we view the massive investment in data centers in Australia is it's an amazing opportunity.
We are well-placed to take advantage of it.
We're a five eyes nation.
We've got lots of land and we're building renewable energy to support us.
Data centers as an asset class are really interesting because they do consume a lot of energy and water, but they can also help balance the load in terms of renewable energy during the day, or it could also be used to help build out or purify recycled water.
provision in this country and then of course it just adds through ai and other technology it adds capacity to existing hard economic infrastructure so it gives you a kind of digital layer over the top of hard infrastructure um to get it more efficient through things like high capacity signaling on on railway networks or um you know using ai to deliver actual infrastructure as well so there are some concerns in government uh that
do need to be taken seriously around making sure it's done in an orderly fashion, that we have a lot of demands to make it in terms of our renewable energy ambitions.
We also have issues with water.
We're a very dry continent.
We've got climate change affecting how
how much water we're actually receiving.
