Is a phrase that I heard a lot when I was growing up. matched
I grew up in English schools and there is this tall poppy syndrome where if you seem to be getting slightly ahead, then people want to pull you back down. matched
Now there are exceptions to that. matched
If you are really good at sport, for example, that's kind of okay. matched
But if it's other things, there is this tendency that you can't get too far ahead. matched

Now, there is a positive to that. matched
It stops people being boastful, it stops people being arrogant or cocky, but it can leave a belief system that it's dangerous or unfair to develop yourself and improve. matched
And I was working with a client who was very successful uh in the property world, and they had limiting beliefs that already achieved a lot, but they felt that somehow it was either greedy or unfair to do more and to keep on growing, or that matched
