Alan, first of all, great to see someone so open-minded about what a volley could be.

If the ball's in the air and someone hits it and it looks like a volley, let's call it a volley.

We should be allowed.

They're sacred, beautiful things.

They have that g'dunk quality.

And all those people in the comments and Micah Richards, it's terrifying what you think is a half volley.

If the ball bounces and someone hits through it, we don't have to have a name for it.

It's just a shot.

You could describe it however you like, but it's not a half volley.
