One is that um
Science really matters.
It's there's this idea called revealed preferences.
And if we go back to my story where I thought I want to be a clinical psychologist, turns out I never even took a clinical psych class in undergrad.
Not even one.
So my behavior is revealing that I didn't like clinical psych.
But I took social and org psych classes.
So my behavior is telling me what I was really interested in.
Um and we know how horrible social media is for teenagers because tech execs don't let their kids go on social media.
Like the very people that created this were like, no, you can't touch this.
We really need to think about what's happening in the world.
And we already see AI having the same replicating some of the same effects as the internet.
The other example is polarization just erupted with social media because people could live in political bubbles and not to get exposed to a wide range of information.
But there's two things that we already know.
from AI use that is particularly damaging.
The first thing is that um AIs are fundamentally sycophantic.
They will tell you what you want to hear because they've been trained to please you.
Um and so one of the biggest problems that we have in the world of leadership is COs living in bubbles.
COs having um boards in their pocket and not doing their fiduciary responsibility as a form of control the CEO.
Um and so COs don't get the information that they need.
