So two things I'll say about that.
One is that, you know, there's this distinction that we often make in the MBA classroom is the difference between being a manager and a leader.
Right.
And and I think that you hit that where like Obama was a leader, but um, you know, Mitt Romney was a manager, right?
And so sometimes to be a great manager is really about the policy, right?
And the policies do matter a lot.
We already talked
about giving people a map can make a big difference and getting them vaccinated.
But I think that um uh
you know, w the the the more distant we are from someone, the more we wanna feel like um they understand us um and that they have a vision that takes our understanding into account.
I guess I think that like
w what is leadership, right?
Leadership is, you know, I asked people at the very beginning of classes to define what leadership is, right?
And eventually I think we all settle on a very similar sentence, which is that it's the capacity to
Motivate people, um, enable them and that's kind of where like the architect comes in.
And here's the big one is integrating a group of individuals towards a common goal of shared purpose.
So, you know, automatically we can start to see the elements that you know that we've already talked about.
Um and so part of what leaders need to do is they need to understand two things.
One is um what's the goal, right?
