Now, these stories had their strengths, mainly the characterization and the opportunity to really develop a character over the course of a full serial, and to enjoy that character, like in The Indestructible Mike or Meg's Palace Matter, can still be a fun lesson, particularly in the context of other styles being represented by these other writers. podcast-host

It was also still a better series in 1957, a fact we were reminded of when we played the Glacier Ghost Matter, the newly discovered Bob Bailey episode. podcast-host

But are these 1959 episodes noticeably worse than the 1958 episodes? podcast-host

No, not at all. podcast-host

For better or for worse, the 1959 episodes are no worse than the 1958 episodes. podcast-host

It's important to keep in mind that at the end of 1960, the series moved to New York, which, while it's a decision that many fans are quite sad about, because it marked the end of Bob Bailey's tenure, it did produce a different show. podcast-host
