If you include the preseason, this is the Bears' 22nd game of the season, which when you start to put that in perspective, it's pretty crazy when you consider what football actually is and how grueling it can be.
So getting back to the idea of the rookie wall, to me, it's remarkable that it's not just Colson Loveland.
A lot of these rookies just seemingly have blown through that.
I thought he brought up a great point, which is, hey, man, when you're playing for a team that's winning and you're in a locker room that has this tight bond that the Bears...
evidently do this year.
It makes it really easy to come to work every day.
And so in their eyes, being as young as they are, they're probably just living the dream right now.
And it's probably easier than maybe we think to battle through it.
Yeah, you know, I think the good news is, and you know I've been talking with you guys for a few weeks about it, is that I think DeMarco Jackson's speed helped last week.
And we had Anthony Heron on Hogan Johns on today's episode.
He brought up a fair point, though, that while...
DeMarco's probably coming downhill faster.
Once he makes his decision, he's probably bringing a little bit more speed to the table.
Once he decides if it's run or pass, what he's doing from that point is probably an upgrade over what the Bears have had because of the injuries and because these guys playing somewhat hurt.
However...
Going up against an opponent like the Rams where they deal so much in manipulation, where they're trying to trick you and get you confused on what you're looking at and what your keys are pre-snap, that T.J.
Edwards' instincts and experience and all those things would still be beneficial to have out there in diagnosing what you're seeing.
I could see it both ways.
I think that's fair.
I'm going to look at it positively because I like how DeMarco Jackson's played.
