You know, giving you what Ben ultimately continues to say, like he wants his he first and foremost, he needs his tackles on either side, but especially in this left tackle thing as we're talking about it, to be able to pass protect.
Can you pass protect one on one?
Everything else there is gravy, as he puts it.
And as he likes to say with Darnell Wright and said on Hogan Johns when we interviewed him, Darnell Wright's got all the gravy.
Well, we're not even talking gravy at left tackle right now.
Like we're we're we're still just trying to find the guys that can block somebody one on one.
And when I got when I'm watching the tape and seeing these two guys in Braxton Jones and Theo Bennett, it's struggling to block Cedric Johnson, who's a backup defensive end wearing number fifty two for the Bengals, and was causing both of these guys a bunch of trouble when they're not even playing their starters.
That's concerning right now when we're just a few weeks away from from the regular season.
I think so.
Um I think the uh I I just I think ultimately Theo could start it like if something were to happen with Darnell right, I would probably feel a little bit better about Theo starting games on the right side.
Um I do think he can be your swing tackle, which means he needs to be able to play left.
I think you can help both of these guys with tight ends and chips um and get by.
The good news is just like last year where they survived, three of their other
Four spots are are very good.
I would say two of them are elite and darn outright and Joe Tooney.
Jonah Jackson's pretty pretty darn good too.
Yeah.
Uh and Garrett Bradbury's probably not what you had with Drew Dahlman last year, but still more than serviceable and a veteran who who you can count on.
So I think they're okay the rest of the line, as long as those guys stay healthy.
Which is a big if always, um, and you could survive.
