Gary's also unreal, but that's more of an East Coast thing.
I had the fortunate ability last year, actually, when I went to work with Connor a little bit.
They brought me into Gary's, so I got to meet all those guys.
What a facility.
I mean, there's no facility in the world for a training facility as nice as that.
They knocked it out of the park there.
What a beautiful place.
well you know when i was growing up we had a lot of talent here we just a lot of kids had to move to edmonton and between expenses and just you know kids not wanting to leave at a young age in the summertime uh we just didn't have the facilities to like train them i mean you guys it's at that point it's like an arms race once you turn that 16 you know 15 to 18 you you got to be stronger you got to be faster and in a small community it's it's pretty hard so
um actually my myself or uh mike susie and my dad and myself kind of said well why don't we look at making barry's gym basically here so actually to be honest with you they're at the shamrock curling club we actually are in the wainwright curling club so we have our our gym kind of set up very similar now we do have some different things and we do do just some different things in there
but our core would probably be, I would say, you know, from Barry's cloth, so to speak.
He's changed a lot of things over the years and vice versa for us too.
And then, yeah, it took us a while, and we were having to skate in Lloyd, drive an hour, and finally we convinced the town and we proved viability.
We had to guarantee a lot of hours and get some sponsorship and stuff.
And now we have the ice.
So you basically go to the gym, walk across the parking lot to the rink,
It's a one-stop shop, so now we have lots of guys that stay around.
And also the second thing is parenting.
