Yeah, it was my parents' vision to go overseas before I was born.
But once I was born, they settled down.
They built a beautiful house in Slovakia.
And we kind of just stayed there for the time being, obviously.
And then when we heard of friends and some family that left Slovakia,
My brother went to Ireland.
He said it's beautiful there.
And we kind of just wanted to go and visit, you know, see what that's all about.
And my parents loved it.
We stayed there for a year and a half and then we got our visa to Canada.
And once we got to Canada, I really didn't expect to be at any competitive level of baseball.
I had no idea what that would be like because Slovakia and Ireland are, like you said, not very big powerhouses for baseball.
And so once I got to Canada, I really hammered down on all those videos.
It started in Ireland, but I hammered down on all those videos trying to be as best as I can and kind of teach myself before I get to Canada.
be selected into a team and i thought i'd be playing in a house league or or single a and um kevin inch saw me at a winner tournament in alberta or winner camp in alberta and he said hey how would you like to try out for triple a i was like what like are you kidding me going to triple right away it's not something that would even cross my mind so i was i was all excited and stoked for that and
Yeah, it's an incredible journey.
I'm incredibly grateful for my parents.
It's not easy moving a whole family across the ocean.
Yeah, they did a lot for us, for me and my little sister and my other sister as well.
