Okay, so that is egregiously offensive.
He's saying that because Pete Buttig is gay, because he has a husband, that he's not qualified, but Pete is more qualified than this nepotism baby will ever be.
But we'll move on from that.
Pete Buttig then responded straight up and said, The tweet you quoted is false.
I think more Dems need to get in there and just say, You are wrong.
What you're saying is false.
Then Elon Musk says with a little bit of snark, Well, please post the rebuttal.

So Pete Buttigieg posted the rebuttal.
