They just understand the power game that they're playing.

And that's the reality.

I think that Scott Jennings may have been talking to McConnell, but I don't think McConnell was talking back.

I don't think it was a two way conversation.

Like I McConnell was probably staring off into the distance with his eyes like half closed.

I don't know if it was a two way conversation there, because there is no way that shell of a human being is capable of having any sort of conversation that's sophisticated in any way.

I'm sure McConnell was speaking just like Shakespeare.

He's got a really good understanding of AI, I'm sure.

Yeah.

The the problem is, if we just zoom out, that the media is on an asymmetric playing field when it comes to right wing views versus left wing views.

And the right wingers inherently benefit from our current media ecosystem.

Scott Jennings benefits from the fact that he can tell a lie and then the panel oftentimes just moves on due to the time constraints.

Like he can tell a lie and nobody generally debunks it in a very convincing manner because you only have about five minutes to like be a point across.

The media infrastructure also benefits uh the right wingers because when you tell a lie and when you try to control a headline, like Trump and Scott Jennings do all the time, the media will then report that and like put that lie in the headline, even if it's in quotes.

So right now, we're on an asymmetric playing field.

And when I went into those debates, my entire thesis was: I want to level the playing field.

If he's gonna tell a lie, I'm not just gonna let everybody move on.

I'm gonna assert myself.

And be a little bit more aggressive than most other people.
