I wouldn't consider him a rival, but someone that I respected the way he operated.
But then there's also guys like Andrew Webster.
You look at the way he writes, there's different elements of being a good rugby league reporter and everyone respects different things.
But from a pure news-breaking point of view, I think Karyanis and Reedy and Buzz and Riccio and Bedell, like those guys,
And I had a lot of respect for him.
That motivated me every day.
