But I really am drawn to that kind of emotional family drama as a genre.
I guess it's a sub-genre of the fantasy kind of sci-fi world that Tale of Fists and Fireballs exists in.
The characters and the relationships in this are so well-defined, which is really rare for this genre.
But it grounds those scenes of wild, those wild fantasy sequences, the battle scenes and things like that.
It grounds it in truth when the characters are real, when they've been fully fleshed out, right?
They're not these archetypes.
They have these really complex relationships.

Um, because it was Aaron's words and because he was directing, he had, we as actors had this immediate pipeline to the character's intentions, right?
Um, he made it so clear where each of these characters sat and the writing was so clear and compelling, um, that it made recording really easy.
I felt very, before we even started, I felt very tapped into Jonah's intentions and, uh, and could kind of envision just reading it off the page, what he had in mind.
The other actors are really incredible and it was a cool experience to not have heard their voices really until the show came out.
To have in your head kind of what you think the other actors sound like.
It's also a risk, right?
Recording separately that it sounds disjointed or that there isn't kind of a flow to it.
But Aaron managed to create this really dynamic, engaging piece where it really does feel like we're working off each other's energy and fueling each other's performances, which was a big risk.
I think there was a big risk of that not gelling in that way.
But I think that probably speaks to the casting and certainly the direction.
So, yeah, very proud of the show.
