I think that the tactics that are being used in Minneapolis in part come from previous protests of police killings like George Floyd and Philando Castile, but they also are tactics that were pioneered in other cities that Trump sent federal immigration agents to.
The thing that has been most effective in standing up to Trump is ordinary people joining with other ordinary people to oppose what they're doing.
You know, refusing civic nonviolent resistance has been the most effective opposition to the Trump administration.
So I think obviously state legislators who are concerned about the safety and civil liberties of their residents will try to figure out a way to legislate.
But ultimately, I think the most effective thing is ordinary people organizing in opposition to this stuff, you know, building on the tactics that have been in use elsewhere.

I refuse to do it.
I'm going to give you the Bart Simpson.
It's funny that that's exactly where you were going, and I didn't even get it.
Anyway, yes.
I think you'd have to say the cruelty is the point there.
I mean, you just look at how people are talking about...
You know, the two Minneapolis St.
Paul residents who were killed by the Border Patrol and basically seeking to unperson them in order to justify the unjustifiable, which is, you know, the taking of the lives of people who pose no threat to anyone and who were killed.
you know, when they were killed in the process of trying to protect or aid the people around them.
So, look, you know, I was riding around South Minneapolis in a neighborhood called Powderhorn that has seen a lot of ice activity.
And what you'll see when you go to Powderhorn is there are a lot of people walking around on foot with their whistles.
Sometimes they stand in front of particular restaurants that they know are vulnerable because they're, you know, Somali-American owned or whatever.
