The only people I need to justify myself is to the players.

So the latter doesn't lie.

I think we're still 6-8, but dive deep into analytics and quarters one and goals improvement, attack and defence and go to draw.

We know it's a handicap event and

There's not a lot of equality in the draw across the competition.

So ultimately just we're trying to improve, produce really good young players, transition our list from second oldest and fifth oldest and add some, I don't know, I've heard them term wind builders in.

But, you know, we've been close, but the feedback was we needed to improve and in a sense we improved today.

Like we're scoring reasonably well.

We'd like to tighten up.

the defence at the same time, but bar one half, we played pretty positive football for the most of the year.

So, yeah, the people I have to validate myself is to the St Kilda fans, the board, the players and ultimately the coaches and ultimately myself.

So we're chipping away.

We've got a lot of work to do, but we've moved a fair bit of dirt.

So all the phases, the line coaches will do that.

We'll come back and reflect on that and try and get some little gains that we can make out for the second half of the year.

Yeah, we get to quarter time and you sort of come down thinking, OK, where to from here?
