From the second half of the Packers game last week in the wildcard round through tonight, you finally saw the fully realized version of Dennis Allen's defense with the guys that he envisioned on the field with Kyler Gordon and Jalen Johnson and Jaquan Brisker doing his thing.

Montez Sweat in the defensive line getting some pressure, throwing some crazy blitzes at them.

And, you know, look, Jalen...

Still not fully healthy.

He's going to need the offseason to do that.

Kyler Gordon, still not 100%.

Didn't play pretty much the first quarter, I believe.

And before he finally got on the field, C.J.

Gardner-Johnson had his moments in this game.

They played their asses off.

And this is another thing they pointed out on the broadcast during the game, Chris Collinsworth especially, pointing out how well the defensive backs were playing for the Bears.

So, yeah, the defense played so well.

And that's what...

If you had told me coming into this game, hey, even including overtime, Bears are going to give up 20 points, I'd have said, oh, they're going to win the game then.

I thought for sure the Bears were going to come out of here with 25, 26 points.

But at the end of the day, it just wasn't meant to be.
