Before we talk about the tropes of We Who Will Die, can you tell me what is your favourite romanticity trope?

I love it.

It's really classic, but I love to just go for enemies to lovers, which is kind of broad spectrum, right?

But that and like weirdly sometimes like the whole, maybe like a little bit problematic, the like arranged marriage thing, marriage of convenience, whatever you want to call it.

But then obviously they have to actually like each other.

Not that it's, yeah, but that's always been.

Yeah.

They're all related.

Yeah.

Maybe we all just like the same thing.

Just call them fancy different names.

Well, you have some great tropes in We Who Will Die, Second Chance Romance, Forced Proximity, Speaking of which, Found Family.

And you did some of my other favourites in A Court That's Cruel and Lovely, such as Secret Princess, Forbidden Magic, all of those.

Which is your favourite to write about?

Is it also forced proximity?

Yes, that's true.

Yeah, it's like rebels who have to band together.

Yeah, and like alliances.

Yeah.

And do you write these tropes in like a little bit intentionally or do they kind of just come about naturally?
