I'm so glad.
I love this for you that you were just like, well, I'm going to do this.
So who's funding this dream?
Thank you.
It's going to work.
It's obviously I'm going to go all the way to the end.
I'm impatient.
I think perhaps we can do some work on like maybe a more healthy writing pattern.
Okay, well, look after yourself, please.
I do want to ask you more about the ancient Greek inspiration in the book.
How did you decide what to put in?
I loved the Sphinx in there.
I thought it was a really good way to build in that kind of almost like prophecy and omen element of thing.
That must be fun to write.
within the context of this world oh it's and it's also one of those characters where you were just immediately so intrigued to learn more yes yes i think we have to wait you do have to wait okay until book two well as i mentioned at the top of this episode there's so many fun fun plot devices in there like heists and trials and assassins are these the sort of things that you love to see in fantasy and is that why you built so many of them in there
Well, yes, I loved the trial as well.
I love a princess bride trial because it's just the most insane thing ever.
Just like this idea that you would pit all these women against each other.
Women who are presumably quite important to their own individual countries and like families.
And they're like, all of you must now fight to the death for this man.
