I think the real thing is the proactivity, right?
If you see something in your fridge that is getting either towards the end of its life or needs to be used, try and even make a little space in your fridge of kind of things.
These things really need to be used up.
Or, I mean, for instance...
coming up here to the North Island.
I knew I was going to be away from my house for a few days and I had some sad carrots and I had a celery that I'd got and I just thought, this is going to be soft and floppy by the time I return.
So I'm going to chop it all up and I had a couple of onions, chopped it up and I put it into some containers and put it in the freezer.
So now I've got like a soup base of onion, carrot and celery ready to go.
You know, freezing things is a great way forward if you can, if, you know, to save a little bit of money.
or making it into something else that you're going to eat.
That's the most important thing.
It has to be into something that you like eating.
Because it's all well and good reading a recipe for a chutney, but if you hate chutney, why are you making it?
100%.
You think, oh, that's me.
And actually, it's just sat in the cupboard.
I made it and I'm like, God, I don't want to eat that.
I think I had a video came out the other day and it was about saving your feta cheese.
And you know,
Okay.
