Our mission at Phagos is to end bacterial disease.

We believe that starting in animal health is super important since this is also where you have a high volume of antibiotic consumption.

It was a test case.

We went on the farm, got some nasty environmental material and dead oysters from there.

And just with this rudimentary material, Adele managed to build a proof of concept phage cocktail.

And there was 40% less death in the batches with phages.

Wow.

For context as well, these guys, they were so desperate, they were using antibiotics for veals.

They were trying stuff, you know?

They had no solution.

Nothing was working.

Regulation is modelled after antibiotics and chemical substances, which are always the same.

But here with phages, given their precision, you have to have different cocktails.

So what we suggest is

is that instead of looking at phages as a single product, you look at the thing that doesn't change.

And that's the platform.

That's the process of production.

It's a new dawn for phage therapy, and it's true, it's a good time to be in phage therapy, I think.
