And I think coaches like Iroola a bit had something to do with that.
Hull are right.
Hull only had twenty eight point three percent of possession, but but it wasn't just on the edge of their box.
They did like in midfield they really grafted.
Uh and that was the other thing I was gonna say about uh my takeaway would have been how many teams won were
without having much of the ball.
So Hull, Leeds, Ipswich, Everton, Brentford and Chelsea all had low possession and all won.
Uh Newcastle nearly won against Liverpool, um, with with under forty percent possession as well.
So
It just buys into that what we were talking about, how actually not having the ball can make you more dangerous.
Well it's just i like it's it's easy to coach.
Like it's easy to coach a team when they don't have the ball.
So that basically you're brilliant without the ball, so you're great at stealing it, and that's when you catch teams off guard.
So I think that that more and more coaches are focusing on that rather than the control element.
So obviously Artessa and a Moresca and, you know, a number of coaches will go possession heavy, but
it's not necessarily what they all want to do now.
I mean Chelsea having less possession than Fulham it it blows my mind really, but that but it worked for them.
thought I thought a lot of them looked sluggish, if I'm honest.
They just didn't look fully fit.
And maybe we shouldn't be surprised at that, obviously it's quite a short pre season after the World Cup.
