Now somebody talked to uh a member of the media about what my uh sort of some of my comments were and there's no reason for me uh to to mince words here uh I flat out said to the acting director of CISA that I don't trust them and here's why uh you know first in in in early 2025 they withdrew all of their support which was multifaceted
Two elections officials across the United States of America.
Now, I sent a letter to the Department of Homeland Security, never got word back.
I sent a second letter to the Department of War of Homeland Security, never got word back.
And then after certain demands and certain lawsuits that have been happening, you know, Harmeek Dillon threatens criminal prosecution.
The new Secretary of Homeland Security, Mark Wayne Mullen, threatens criminal prosecution.
And I flat out told the acting director, I don't trust you guys.
I don't trust that at this late date.
Doing this kind of cover your butt meeting at the last second, you guys are acting in good faith, particularly given the track record here.
So if they're gonna have us as uh their eyes and ears on the ground, gathering intelligence, sharing it with them, uh, which is their primary source of information, uh, they're gonna need to do a little bit more to help us out instead of threaten us and ignore us uh and remove support from us.
This is supposed to be their mission.
They've absolutely abandoned it.

And professional election administrators like myself and so many other elected and appointed officials depend on them to be that even keel to help us set standards like what I'll call the VVSG, which is a voluntary set of technical guidelines for our equipment.
They help us establish solid messaging.
They put out what's called an EAVS report.
This is a, like you said, nonpartisan, bipartisan commission that has operated well to help us mostly in the background, to be honest.
And the Elections Assistance Commission's work is usually, I guess you could say, in the off season, helping us plan, helping us establish what we need to do.
And the vast majority of the planning for not just ongoing primaries like the one we have right now in Arizona, but
But for the general elections are already to a great degree in the bag.
